Fitness, friendship and bacon butties

It's all too easy for players to lose touch with their former team-mates post-retirement, and for players to lose the fitness levels that have been a way of life.

There's a real sense of loss felt by many players who miss the dressing room banter and humour that is an intrinsic part of life as a professional athlete.

In a new initiative supported by Rugby League Cares, Wakefield Trinity's past players association is bringing the club's stars of yesterday back together for a monthly fitness session hosted by former Belle Vue stalwarts Graham and Martin Law.

The sessions are hosted at the brothers' fitness centre in Wakefield and involve supervised workouts, lots of laughter and hard earned refreshments.

The sessions take place on the first Saturday of every month at St Johns Health and Fitness in Wakefield.
