After playing over 300 games for London, Wigan and England, Tony Clubb took the decision to hang up his boots in 2021 to pursue a career in coaching.

He joined Leigh in 2022 as assistant to Adrian Lam and was a key figure in the club's progress from the Championship to Super League front-runners.

In this video, Tony explains why a job in coaching appealed to him and has some advice for any player thinking of following the same career path.

Get your coaching badges a couple of years before your playing career ends and look to help out in the scholarships, the reserves or the local amateur teams.  It's such a good life, I absolutely love what I do.
