Ahead of the Betfred Super League's dedicated Tackling the Tough Stuff round, our health and wellbeing manager Paul Wood chats about the charity's important role supporting people across communities wherever rugby league is played.
In this short video, Paul discusses some of the life-changing programmes that RL Cares are delivering to help people become physically and mentally fitter.
He also talks about how players and their wellbeing is at the heart of much of our work, and why we're delighted when former players show their support for what we do by joining us in our fundraising efforts.
That was brought home in June 2024 when ex-players Adrian Morley, Gareth Ellis, Andrea Dobson, Nathan McAvoy and James Elston - together with current Sheffield Eagles women prop Capucine Auger - saddled up on the Wild Atlantic Adventure, a gruelling 300-mile fundraising bike ride around Ireland's rugged southern coast.
All the funds raised on the ride enable us to not only change lives, but in some cases to save them as well. Please help us continue to make such an important positive difference by sponsoring one of rugby league fundraising heroes via the ride' dedicated Justgiving page.
