In this video Sam describes the process of changing mindsets and shaping a winning culture from the perspective of leading a dressing room.
In the video, Sam Burgess talks about his definition of high performance and how he views it. He believes that high performance is about reaching one's potential and channelling everyone's performance in one direction to achieve the same goal.
He also talks about his journey in rugby, starting from when he was a young player and the values he learned along the way. He mentions how the simple things in life are important and that his goal was to be a first-grade player before his dad passed away. He says he learned the most from being around a group of different personalities and taking what he liked from each one.
He also speaks about his confidence and how he believed he could add to the team and make a better job than some of the players. He mentions having internal conversations with his coach Steve McNamara and that he had a good gauge on what was happening around him, which gave him confidence.
