Rugby League Cares hosted the Super League and Championship clubs’ dedicated player welfare managers at UCEN in Manchester for their quarterly get-together.
The day was an opportunity to share best practice and focus on continuous professional development with a focus on inclusive environments, diversity and cultural integration.
The welfare managers were also updated on the latest news on the sport’s work around brain health by Dr Gemma Phillips, who sits on the RFL’s brain health sub-committee.
We don't shout about it enough but we have some amazing people in the sport, and a lot of them are in this room today.
