Rugby League Cares maintains strong contacts with the NRL's player welfare team as part of the charity's commitment to provide world class levels of support to the playing community.
On his recent visit to Sydney, RL Cares Director of Wellbeing Steve McCormack caught up with the NRL's Senior Wellbeing and Education Manager Paul Heptonstall to chat about key issues and developments in this important field.
We know that if a player is involved in career development off the field and is proactive in their well-being they are going to have a longer career, they are going to make more money and their transition is going to be a lot smoother.
