In October 2022, Kevin Sinfield was a guest on the long-running BBC Radio 4 series Desert Island Discs.
In the episode, the former Leeds Rhinos and England player - and current RL Cares trustee - shares the eight tracks, book and luxury item he would take with him if cast away to a desert island.
Kevin also chats with host Lauren Laverne about growing up in Oldham, how rugby league helped shape him, his amazing relationship with his great friend and former team-mate Rob Burrow and his views on head injuries in sport.
Players are looked after now better than they have ever been. Governing bodies have worked hard to take away as many head collisions as they can. The protocols that are in place are better and rugby is safer than ever before
