A fascinating chat between James and George opens up on his career, the injury toll on the body of a footy player and how he coped, and touches onto his new career as an actor.
The video is set to play at the 44-minute mark as this is the start of a really good passage where George touches on some of his struggles and how he addressed them.
George explains how he is in a good place at the moment, on a new path and feeling positive about where he's heading. James and George reflect on how they should have sought support at different points in their carers, but found it hard to make the first connection.
They discuss the progress that has been made in rugby in regards to mental health, but acknowledge there is still a long way to go in removing the stigma around talking about emotions. They stress the importance of acknowledging emotions and not letting them dictate actions, and emphasize the need for regular dialogue.
