The National Career Service provides free, impartial information, advice, and guidance to help citizens make decisions on learning, training, and work. It is available to all adults in England over the age of 13.
The service is primarily for citizens who need comprehensive careers information, advice, or guidance. Additional users of the service include professional careers advisers, employers, teachers, and parents.
The service is designed to enable users to self-serve as much as possible, but professional careers advisors are available to provide additional advice and guidance specific to personal circumstances.
